Channahon, Ill. – The Robert Morris Women’s Cross Country team closed out their season with an eighth place finish out of 12 teams at the CCAC Conference Meet that was held on Saturday, November 3rd. The Eagles posted their fastest average time in school history at 21:03 for the 5km race.
Yarisel Mata set a new RMU program record time of 19:38 which placed her 32nd individually in the conference meet which included 115 runners. Mata eclipsed the previous record held since 2003 by Melanie Schwarz.
Other finishers in the conference meet for the Eagles were Idalis Valdivia in 48th (20:48), Jillian Hendzlick in 52nd (21:22), Kiersten Norgard in 55th (21:33), Rachel Day in 57th (21:56), Amanda Kostic in 62nd (22:49), and Virginia Garcia in 71st (24:45).
