Women’s Bowling Opens Season With a Fourth Place Finish at the Midwest Collegiate Championships

Wauwatosa, Wis. – The Robert Morris Woen’s Bowling team took fourth place at the Midwest Collegiate Championships at AMF Bowlero Lanes in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th.

The Eagles placed fourth out of 30 teams missing first place by only 80 pins.  There were a total of 210 bowlers and all teams bowled nine Team Games and 12 Baker Games.

Junior Cailtin Hofmann was the only Eagles to bowl all nine games and she finished in first place averaging 206.89 making the All-Tournament team.  Also bowling well was sophomore Tawni Vollmer who averaged 193.75 for eight games, grad student Alejandra Mora who averaged 190.57 for seven games, and junior Katie Sexton who averaged 193.17 for six games.

The Eagles travel to Indianapolis on Saturday, October 13th and Sunday, October 14th to compete in the Western Shootout.  The competition will be held at Western Bowl in Indianapolis.
