Women’s Bowling Finishes in Third Place at Leatherneck Classic

Milan, Ill.  – The Robert Morris Women’s Bowling team competed in the Leatherneck Classic held at Milan Lanes in Milan, Illinois on Sunday, November 11th and finished qualifying in seventh place and Match Play tied for third place.

The event consisted of 26 varsity teams and four junior varsity teams with a total of 202 bowlers.  The Eagles never got on track during the weekend with their seventh and third place finishes.  Bowling well for RMU was freshman Rachel Vaughn (10th), junior Caitlin Hofmann (24th), and freshman Courtney Dutton (25th).

The tournament also had a separate junior division for team scores, and the RMU JV team finished in second place in qualifying and then beat Lindenwood in Match Play to finish in first place.

The Eagles travel to Oshkosh, Wisconsin next weekend to compete in the Titan Invitational on Saturday, November 17th and Sunday, November 18th.
