Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Robert Morris Women’s Basketball team lost to Aquinas College by the score of 73-61 on Wednesday, November 14th. The loss drops the Eagles record to 3-3 on the year.
The Eagles fell behind Aquinas by as many as 13 points in the first half but were able to cut the lead to 31-28 on a basket by Nicole Brown with 3:12 left in the half. RMU stayed close and trailed 39-35 at the break.
Aquinas opened the second half with a 14-4 run to open a 14-point lead with 15:21 to play. The Saints would hold to their lead and finish out the game with a 73-61 win over the Eagles. Aquinas shot 44.8% on the night while RMU shot 36%.
Junior Celeste Jones scored 17 points while Uniqua Hampton had 16 points and 11 rebounds. Danisha Cole chipped in with 11 points in the loss.
The Eagles continue on the road as they travel to Berea, Kentucky to take part in the Berea College Pepsi Challenge. On Friday, November 16th the Eagles take on Bethel College at 6:00 P.M. and hit the court at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 17th against Huntington University.
