Chicago, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced that Shannon Bennett of Robert Morris is the CCAC Offensive Player of the Week in Women’s Soccer for the week ending November 4th.
Bennett earned the distinction on offense after scoring a pair of head ball goals within two minutes of each other in the first half of Robert Morris’ 4-1 win over University of St. Francis on Saturday, November 3rd. Bennett’s first goal, which put the Eagles ahead 2-0, proved to be the game winner and her two tallies were the fourth and fifth of the season for the senior defender.
The Eagles travel to Elgin, Illinois on Wednesday, November 7th to take on second seeded Judson University in the CCAC Conference Tournament semi-finals. Kick-off is set for 2:00 P.M. and fans can listen to the game live on the Eagles Sports Network. The conference tournament winner will advance to the NAIA National Tournament.
