Chicago, Ill. – The Capital One Academic All-District Team as selected by CoSIDA was announced and Phillip Emminger and Lamont Wims of Robert Morris made the District 3 College Division in Football.
Emminger, a sophomore defensive back, maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average while studying Business Administration. He played in 10 games for the Eagles this season, making 32 tackles and one interception.
Wims, a sophomore running back, is the second leading rusher in the NAIA with 1,623 yards and averaging 147.5 yards per game. He is also fourth in all-purpose yards (1,878) and fifth in all-purpose yards per game (170.7). Wims maintains a 3.83 grade point average while studying Business Administration.
The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by CoSIDA, have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
