Davenport, Iowa – The Robert Morris Men’s Bowling team won their fifth consecutive tournament in five tries as they took home the title at the Leatherneck Classic held at Miller Time Bowl in Davenport, Iowa on Sunday, November 11th.
The event consisted of 30 varsity teams and 16 junior varsity teams with a total of 308 bowlers. The Eagles led the qualifying round to clinch the title and then finished in second place in Match Play on Sunday behind Wichita State.
Sophomore Mason Petrin took fifth place and was named to the All-Tournament team. Also bowling well for RMU was sophomore Sean Wilson (7th), sophomore Marshall Kent (17th), freshman Tylor Greene (20th), senior Jacob Kent (29th), and freshman Kyle King (32nd).
The tournament also had a separate junior division for team scores, and the RMU JV team finished in second place in qualifying and then beat Lindenwood in Match Play to finish in first place.
The Eagles travel to Oshkosh, Wisconsin next weekend to compete in the Titan Invitational on Saturday, November 17th and Sunday, November 18th.
