Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2012 NAIA Men’s Soccer All-America teams and Gordy Gurson of Robert Morris was selected to the Honorable Mention team for the second consecutive season.

A junior forward from Buffalo Grove, Gurson was the Eagles’ leading scorer in 2012 with 15 goals and one assist for 31 points.  His 15 goals were second most in the CCAC Conference and his 31 points were good for third best, earning him his second straight CCAC All-Conference First team selection.  Gurson also had five game-winning goals in 2012, which ranked him 14th in the nation in that category.

The NAIA All-America committee consists of the NAIA-Men’s Soccer Coaches Association Executive Committee, the championship games committee and two men’s soccer coaches based on geography. There were 11 members on each of the first Team, second Team and third Teams, and then an additional honorable mention list.
