Fairview Heights, Ill. – The top ranked Robert Morris Men’s Bowling team kept things rolling, winning the National Team Match Games Tournament for its seventh championship out of seven tournaments competed in for the season.  The tournament consisted of one of the strongest competing fields this year.

With 40 teams and 299 bowlers competing in the event, the Eagles pulled off a come-from-behind victory by getting a strike in each of the last five frames of their last game to win the match by 15 pins and earn the bonus pins that were available in the tournament’s format to edge out second place Wichita State (Kan.).  Lindenwood (Mo.) finished in third place with Webber International (Fla.) coming in fourth place.

Sophomore Cameron Weier won the event’s individual title for the second consecutive year and was selected to the All-Tournament team, averaging an amazing 231.3 and besting the second place finisher by an average of 11 pins per game.  Also bowling well for RMU was sophomore Dominic Partipilo (8th), freshman Kyle King (30th), and senior Jacob Kent (43rd).

The Eagles will travel to Madison, Wisconsin to compete in the Warhawk Open on Saturday, December 1st and Sunday, December 2nd.
