Eagles Take First Place in Titan Invitational Women’s Bowling Tournament

Oshkosh, Wis. – The Robert Morris Women’s Bowling team took part in the Titan Invitational at Shoreview Lanes and the Eagles got back on track with their third win of the season, finishing in first place ahead of Midland University and then finished in third place in Match Play.

There were 21 women’s teams and approximately 168 individual bowlers in the event.  The only Eagle to bowl all six games was junior Caitlin Hofmann, who averaged a 190.1 and finished in 14th place.  Also bowling well for RMU was sophomore Tawni Vollmer averaging 195 for five games, freshman Courtney Dutton averaging 198 for four games, and freshman Courtney Johnston averaging 195 for four games.

The Eagles travel to Fairview Heights just outside of St. Louis and will bowl in the National Team Match games on Friday, November 23rd and Saturday, November 24th.
