Chicago, Ill. – Robert Morris University has swept the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference weekly honors for women’s soccer for the week ending September 16th after the league office announced on Tuesday that junior forward Florence Dadson and freshman goalkeeper Ana Hernandez have been named the CCAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
Dadson accounted for five of the Eagles’ seven goals in their two victories during the week. She authored a hat trick (three goals) in a 4-1 win over Warner University (Fla.) on Thursday and then followed that up with a pair of goals in a 3-0 victory over Webber International University (Fla.) on Saturday.
In both contests, Dadson was also credited with the game-winning goal. Dadson has now scored six goals in three games since returning to the Robert Morris lineup after missing the first four games of the season.
As for Hernandez, she recorded her first collegiate shutout in the win over Webber International on Saturday. She stopped eight shots on goal in the contest.
Robert Morris, a winner of three straight games, is now 3-4 on the season.
