North Chicago, Ill. – The Eagles Women’s Golf team opened their 2012-2013 season by hosting ten schools in the RMU Invitational at Foss Park Golf Club on Friday, August 31st. RMU finished in 7th place while the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater won the outing besting North Central College by four strokes.
Andrea Falco was the Eagles top golfer, shooting an 83 and finishing just out of a medal win. Kaitlyn Boehne also had a very consistent day shooting an 85.
“All of my team had some great holes but they just need to be more consistent,” stated Eagles Head Coach Greg Genz. “Even though we did not finish as well as we would have liked to as a team, I feel these girls have a great chance to win our conference.”
The Eagles have a busy upcoming week as they compete in four different tournaments. On Tuesday, September 4th the Eagles compete in the Aurora University Invitational and then play in the Augustana Invitational on Thursday, September 6th. The Knox College Invitational is on Friday, September 7th and the Eagles wrap up the week on Saturday, September 8th at the Monmouth College Invitational.
