Bensenville, Ill. – The 25th ranked Robert Morris Men’s Soccer team blanked Illinois Tech by a 4-0 score in CCAC Conference action on Saturday, October 20th to celebrate “Senior Day.” The victory raised the Eagles CCAC record to 6-3 and their overall record to 11-3-1 on the year.
Freshman midfielder Chisom Ogbonna put the Eagles up 1-0 in the 17th minute with a chip over goalkeeper Casey Krapfl from 20 yards out. The goal was Ogbonna’s third of the season and the game remained 1-0 at the half.
The second half was all Eagles as RMU leading scorer Gordy Gurson headed home a Joe Kelly long throw-in the 48th minute to make it 2-0. Gurson now has a team high 13 goals on the year. In the 62nd minute, Ogbonna scored his second goal of the game, replicating Gurson’s goal with a head ball goal of his own from another Joe Kelly long throw-in. Bobby Hurwitz set up Stefan Zindovic for a goal in the 79th minute to give the Eagles the 4-0 lead and the goal was Zidovic’s sixth of the season.
Senior goalkeeper Milco Risteski made four saves to earn his sixth shut-out of 2012.

The Eagles continue CCAC Conference play as they take on co-league leader Saint Xavier University on Tuesday, October 23rd. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. on the campus of Saint Xavier in Chicago and fans can listen to the game live on the Eagles Sports Network.
